Laid out using the 960.gs system as a guide the new site makes strong use of WordPress’ custom fields and additional PHP manipulation across the site for easy updating. The content creators were adamant about being able to make use of larger images and videos in their posts and are very happy with the final layout.

Digital Degree Show

Created with a similar layout and colour scheme to the printed catalogue this website demonstrates my ability to convert a previously existing design to a fully functional website with additional features. A scrolling ‘slide show’ of all the students work was the most efficient way of displaying all their work on the home page without increasing the amount of vertical space. The use of Cufón font-embedding allowed me to add custom web fonts and further the similarity between the print and web versions of the catalogue.

Created for a colleague at university for a new photography business he is starting up this year. The project required a simple and easy to use website which would promote and draw focus to the photography produced. A dark colour scheme was chosen to promote their unusual style of images and allow the photographs to stand away from the semi-minimalistic design.

The design and development was split between us with a bias on design for me and development on him. We wanted to create a unique, interesting, professional website that would not only show our commitment to the game and perhaps persuade some people to join us, but also bring repeat visits to all parts of the website and become a community hub for many people not just legion members. The website is based around a PHPBB forum, which acts as a simple CMS for some other parts of the site.
The website was co-constructed with David Sarilaksana.

Bacalls

The project required a simple information based website that could inform clients and potential customers about the business and various other bits of useful information such as opening times and location. The website was created in brand colours — black and silver — and had to be visually appealing and easy to navigate. The addition of an image gallery to display recently taken photographs was used to portray the work of the stylists.
