’08 Portfolio

Archived: July 2009

My 2008 portfolio design created with a Japanese theme. Unlike the previous portfolio this was updated with new websites and artwork as they were created.

My first attempt at a proper website; designed and built in the first quarter of 2008. I moved away from Flash for this and started building in HTML and CSS. The structural layout of the website is very simple, without much consideration for accessiblity or usability (I didn’t know any better back then). It sufficed for a year, but then my skills had increased enough to need an update, plus in this constantly changing world of web design, it is my opinion that a portfolio shouldn’t look the same for more than a year.

The background was painted by myself in Photoshop and took over 100 hours to complete (visit the archived site on a 1920x1280px resolution monitor to view it’s entirety).

Programs used:

Photoshop CS3 and Dreamweaver CS3.

Skills used:

Digital Painting, Recolouring, Compositing, HTML/XHTML, CSS2, PHP, JS.
